Mangaluru: “Beary language day will be celebrated by the Beary Sahitya Academy on October 3 at Academy office, Attavar,” said Academy President B A Mohammad Hanif.

Addressing the press personnel on Thursday, he said that to mark the formation of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy the academy is celebrating the day.

“A week long programme will be organised in DK, Udupi and Kasargod. On the celebration day, District Wakf Advisory Committee President Rashid will be inaugurating the ceremony. Presidents of other language sahitya academy’s will be inaugurating the various campaigns.” He said.

He further said that many competitions have been organised for the students and public from October 3 to 9. Felicitation for the achievers in Beary language and culture is also organised.

Academy registrar Umarabba, usuf Waqtaar and others were present.
