Mangalore: The Bearys Cultural Forum based in the UAE will be holding an ‘Educational Scholarship Meet – 2012’ on August 26, Sunday at Loyola Hall of St. Aloysius P.U. College in Mangalore.
B.M. Mumtaz Ali, Patron of BCF,who informed this to reporters, said scholarships worth Rs 15 lakhs will be distributed among 450 students studying in SSLC, degree, post-graduation, medicine, nursing, Ayurveda, BDS and various courses, irrespective of caste, creed or eligion. The only critera is the economic condition of the family and excellence in studies, he informed.
A Career Guidance programme will also be conducted for students the same day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mangalore Qazi Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar, Dr. B.K. Yusuf, President of BCF, Dr. N.S. Channappa Gowda, Deputy Commissioner, Gulzar Banu, Mayor, N. Yogish Bhat, Deputy Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly, B. Ramanath Rai, U.T. Khader, legislators will be the chief guests.
