Mangaluru: As a result of bee attack one elderly lady lost her life and three others have been injured near Laxmigudde near Someshwar on Thursday.

Kamala (65) is the deceased woman. Sridhar (49), his wife leelavathi (45) and mother Janaki (70) have been injured seriously due to the bee attack. Injured people have been admitted to a Hospital at Deralakatte.

Kamala had come to her son-in-law Sridhar’s house and she was accompanying Janaki to collect firewood. Suddenly a throng of bees attacked Kamala, she screamed loudly. After hearing her scream Janaki went to help her, but she was also bit by the bees.

When Sridhar and Leelavathi who heard both of them screaming ran to help and they too were bitten by the bees. Somehow Sridhar managed to bring back all the women back to home and admitted them to hospital.

Kamala breathed her last in the hospital after not responding to the treatment. Leelavathi has been admitted in ICU, Janaki and Sridhar are undergoing treatment.
