Udupi : After resignation to his Janata Dal (Secular) party Udupi district presidentship Deviprasad Shetty joined Congress party in Kaup here on Sunday, April 19.

Shetty had quit his president’s post on April 16, and also said he will continue in the JD(S) as a member. He had served for more than 15 years.

Speaking to the reportess he said that, the internal clashes and various reasons he had to resign from his position and quit the party .

Udupi District in-charge Minister and Congress leader Vinay Kumar Sorake stated that the party is happy to have such a member who has dedicated himself for the development of the place Belapu where he hails from.
