Hyderabad: Bellary iron-ore mining boron, G.Janardhana Reddy, MLA, and owner of Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) along with his brother-in-law, K.Srinivasa Reddy, CEO of the OMC, were sent to judicial custody till October 3, by the CBI special court in Nampally at Hyderabad today. They were in CBI custody for 6 days and now the extension lasts upto 15days in Judicial custody, from September 19.
The CBI court had sentenced both Reddys to judicial Custody on September 5, following a charge sheet made against them of illegal mining and shifting of border stone marks to obliterate states borders, by CBI forces that raided their well guarded mansions.
They were sent to CBI custody for 6 days after a bail appeal was enquired into and rejected. The CBI produced them in the special court at the end of their(CBI) term. The CBI prosecutor wanted them in custody for further enquiries, but the special court did not approve of the request, and directed the two Reddys to go in Judicial custody till October 3 next. Obviously, they are spared of further searching questions by CBI sleuths.
