Belthangady: Belthangady police arrested three arecanut thieves on Thursday and seized movable property worth Rs 10 lakh. The accused have been identified as Kasaragod taluk, Rajapuram based Gangadhara KV (37), Ernakulam Aluva residents KS Shine (30) and Raghu KB (27). The trio arrested after Rs 1.50 lakh worth arecanut found stolen from the residence of Belthangady taluk Nada Village resident Thomas during the period between May 13 and 15.

Police seized 9.60 quintal arecanut, an Innova car and a motor cycle from the accused. The accused produced before the court by the police for further legal proceedings.
