Belthangady, : Former vice president of Belthangady Taluk Panchayat Santosh Kumar (45)  ended his life by jumping into a public well.

It is suspected that ill-health might have driven him to the extreme step. Santosh Kumar who was a resident of Laila, has reportedly had suffered a spine injury in an accident a few years ago and after recovery was leading a self-reliant life. He was active in various local organisations.
