Mangaluru: To mark the completion of three years of Congress government and to educate the people about the schemes that were implemented by the government, ‘Jana Mana’ programme was inaugurated by the district in0charge Minister Ramanath Rai, on Tuesday at Mangaluru Town Hall.
In his inaugural speech Minister said that CM Siddaramaiah has made Karnataka as a hunger free state by implementing Anna Bhagya scheme. It has reched most of the beneficiaries and the most appreciated scheme ever.
“Kshira Bhagya has helped the children to have a healthier growth. Huge amount of money has been waived under minority board loans and backward community development loans. Pending amount of electricity connections has been paid under Asha Jyoti scheme. CM has also made a loan free state,” he said.
He further said that for the students who are pursuing higher education Rs 1500 stipend has been given under Vidya Siri scheme. Interest free loan for the farmers has been increased to rs 3 lakh. Harish Santwana Scheme, Manaswini scheme, and other schemes have reached most of the beneficiaries.
“Kandaya Adalat, 94 C title deed, schemes for transgenders, divorced and widow women’s has also introduced by the government. CM Siddaramaiah government has also sorted out the loopholes in ration card. Many eligible families have availed the BPL cards also. Mangaluru became first city in the nation to become open defecation free city. We have given our best to reach the maximum number of beneficiaries,” he added.
MLA’s Abhaychandra Jain and Mohiudhin Bava, Mayor Harinath, Konkani Sahitya Academy President Roy Castelino, MCC health standing committee Chairperson Kavith Sanil and others were present.
