Kolkata: Second team in Pro Kabaddi season 4 has officially ‘kicked out’ of the semi-final race. Bengal Warriors were defeated by Bengaluru Bulls to become the second team, who couldn’t make it through the semi-finals.
In a breath catching match, Bengaluru Bulls beat Bengal Warriors by 27-25 in the last match at Bengals home ground on Tuesday.
Even after having a lead in the first half, Bengal couldn’t convert it into a win. Bengaluru Bulls star raider Rohit Kumar’s bonus points proved deadly to the Warriors.
Though Bengal raider Jang-Kun-Lee continued to fetch points using his creative ‘Scorpion kick’, but all of his effort went in vain.
Bengaluru started to score points since its first raid. Yogesh Kumar got a touch point on Bengal skipper Neelesh Shindhe in his and his team’s first raid. But later Bengal added all out points to their account by washing Bulls court out and gained a lead of 6 points in the first half.
When the time piece was showing final 3 minutes Bulls cleared the opposition court with their aggressive play and registered their win.
With this lose Bengal Warriors dream to enter the semi-final has been shattered. Bengaluru Bulls had already lost seven consecutive matches and ruled out of the competition. Now they are becoming the party poppers.
Titans beat Dabang Delhi
In another match on Tuesday, Telugu Titans beat Dabang Delhi by 36-28 points.
Rahul Choudhari’s aggressive play helped the Titans to move closer to the semi-final race. With this lose Delhi is at the edge of ruling out of the race.
