Mangaluru : Services of a few trains from Mangaluru Central Railway Station will be affected on Tuesday because of subway construction work at Jokatte between Padil and Thokur. Southern Railway will effect Line Block for six hours from 3.15 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. on the section.
As a result, train no. 16518/ 16524 Kannur/ Karwar – Bengaluru Express will leave Mangaluru Central at 10.40 p.m. instead of 8.50 p.m.. Train no. 16524 will be detained at Thokur between 7.40 p.m. and 9.20 p.m., said a release from Konkan Railway here.
Train no. 56666/ 56665 Byndoor – Kasargod – Byndoor Passenger remains partially cancelled between Mangaluru Junction and Byndoor. Similarly, Train no. 70105/70106 Madgaon- Mangaluru Central – Madgaon DEMU Passenger will terminate and start at Thokur instead of Mangaluru Central.
Also, Train No. 56641 Madgaon-Mangaluru Central Passenger will be detained at Surathkal/ Thokur between 8.05 p.m. and 9.45 p.m.. Train no. 12617 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala Express will be detained at Mangaluru Junction between 10.05 p.m. and 10.15 p.m., the release added.
