Belthangady : The body of a 19-year-old college student from Bengaluru was found in the Nethravathi near Dharmasthala on Sunday evening.

Based on the college identity card, the police have identified the deceased as Madhu, son of Raje Gowda, a resident of Nagarbhavi and a student of Global Academy of Technology.

The police have learnt that Madhu went missing since March 23 when he went to college and did not return. His parents had filed a complaint with the Jnanabharathi police.

A case of unnatural death has been registered and the police are investigating.
