Bengaluru : It was an emotional scene at the ISRO Centre here on Saturday, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi consoled a teary-eyed K Sivan right after addressing scientists in the backdrop of Chandrayaan-2’s lander ‘Vikram’ losing contact with ground stations.
PM Modi hugged and consoled the ISRO Chairman after he broke down.
Vikram’s descent was as planned and normal performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently, communication from Lander to the ground stations was lost.
Earlier, during his address to the scientists, PM Modi said the nation was with ISRO, and that the best was yet to come.
