Bengaluru youth drowns in Shambhavi river near Moodbidri, two rescued

Shambhavi River Moodbidri : A man met watery grave while swimming Shambhavi river at Karnire near Kinnigoli here on Sunday September 6.

The deceased has been identified as Anil (32), a resident of Hebbala in Bengaluru.

A group of seven persons including Anil had went to Shambhavi river at Karnire.

Out of the seven, three stepped into the water for a swim. However, they were pulled in by the strong currents. Aiku and Srikanth Palauti rescued.

The locals who were around rushed to their rescue and managed to bring two of them ashore. However, Anil’s life could not be saved.

Mulky police arrived at the spot and registered a case.
