Mangalore: Bhajrangdal activists who intercepted a mini tempo which was allegedly involved in cattle smuggling at Kulshekhar on October 3, Wednesday, later handed over the vehicle and the cattle to the police. Even the tempo driver and one Padmanabha who had allegedly sold his five year cow to a person in Ulaibettu who was in the vehicle, has been arrested.

The cattle was being transported to Ulaibettu from Padmanabha’s residence in Maroli. The person who purchased the cow is however absconding.
