Udupi: Two legal heirs have continued the feud for property left behind by Udupi businessman Bhaskar Shetty.
A couple of days ago, a case was registered against sisters of Rajeshwari Shetty, Bhaskar Shetty’s widow. It is said that on Friday, another case was registered against Rajeshwari’s sisters’ Renuka Rai and Roopa Shetty and mother Sumathi Raghuram Shetty.
The complainant was Gulabi Shetty, Bhaskar Shetty’s mother.
Balakrishna Alva, manager of Durga International Hotel filed a complaint after Rajeshwari’s sisters threatened staff at the hotel recently.
It is said that Rajeshwari’s Advocate managed to get an Injunction Order from the court against interference of a third party in the business. As Rajeshwari is under judicial custody, she has given the Power of Attorney in favour of her mother, Sumathi.
Meanwhile, Gulabi Shetty has said that she had a will executed by Bhaskar Shetty in her favour, whereas Rajeshwari had staked claim on the hotel on basis of a business partner. However, legal credentials are yet to be scrutinized by the court. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for October 17.
