Bhatkal : Bhatkal police have arrested two persons on September 12, Wednesday in connection with cattle theft cases. The arrested are Hassan Shabbar and Abdul Sami.
Police said they are on the lookout for the main accused namely Raghu Mastappa Naik and Parameshwar Honnappa Naik who are still at large and are said to be activists of a Hindu organization.
The arrest took place in the wake of a complaint by one Shaniyara Kuppayya Naik with regard to missing of his cattle from his cowshed since the past four months.
Villagers of Muttalli in Bhatkal fear the operation of a well organised racket behind the cases of missing of cattle.
Shaniyara’s four cattle were stolen in the recent past and he had himself found it at Mugdama colony and had then lodged a complaint
