Bhatkal : Praveen Kumar (22), a student of the Anjuman Engineering College died, while his friend who was pillion riding the Scooter sustained injuries after the two-wheeler skidded off the road near the Pushpanjali Theater Railway Station on August 27, Monday.

Praveen had been to the station to receive his friend  who returned from Lucknow. The mishap took place when the two were returning from the station. It is learnt, it was raining heavily when the mishap took place.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station.
