Mangalore :  The overall Best Village Trophy  in the Shree Bhoothanatheshwara Kreedotsava III held at Badaga Edapadavau Mijar was bagged by the home team ‘Badaga Yedapadavu.’The team walked away with a cash prize of Rs one lakh.

The winners were selected on the basis of highest points scorred in overall tournament.The second place went to Team Madappady which bagged Rs 50,000 while the third and fourth places went to Team Sangabettu, Bantwal  and  Ariyadka  team of Puttur respectively.

The three day tournament which witnessed 40 games in 70 categories concluded on a grand note with a spell binding live music concert by the famous playback singer Rajesh Krishnan and his team. He was accompanied on the stage by singer Dr Shamitha Malnad and a professional dance troupe

Vijaynath Shetty, Chief Coordinator of the event expressed his gratitude to all concerned  who worked for the success of the event. Several celebrities like film stars Shivadwaj, Haripriya and Shubha Poonja who visited the event to encourage the participants. Even cricketers  Munaf Patel, Vinay Kumar, music director Guru Kiran, film Star Prem and Producer Avinash. Former Minister Nagaraj Shetty too visited  Kreedotsava venue.
