Bangalore: The Karnataka Govt. has agreed to rename the Devanahali (Bangalore) International Airport after Magadi Kempegowda, the founder of Bangalore.
It was a long pending demand that the Cabinet accepted today, sources said. The recommendation goes to the Centre for final approval.
A delegation led by CM would go to Delhi to seek “Special Status” under article 371 of the Indian constitution to the most backward areas constituting Hyderabad Karnataka region in the north.
