Mangaluru : Two bike borne persons wearing a black monkey cap and white T-shirt stood in front of the main door and shot inside the Sanjeeva shetty silks and sarees shop at Carstreet arround 8.00pm on Friday.

Eye witness said that the two unidentified persons were seen around the place at 7.30 and they were moving around about 30 minutes and entered to main door of the shop and pointed the gun towards the shop to do this crime.

The attackers fled from the spot soon after opening fire, towards Temple square. The watchman Mahalinga Naik (35) is injured in the incident.

The watchman rushed to the private hospital, the bullet pierced his leftside leg.

Police Commissioner Mr T R Suresh, ACP Uday Nayak, Inspector of Bunder police station Shantaram visited the spot..

Proprietor of the firm Mr Murali and the employees at the spot questioned. Police inspected CCTV footages of the shop.
