Padubidri: A Gulf returned 28 year old youth died on the spot as his two wheeler collided with a private bus at Padubidri national highway 66 near Nagaraj Estate on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Avinash Devadiga (28), a resident of Ellur village here. He was working in the Gulf and he came to his hometown recently on leave.

It is said, He was moving towards Mangaluru from Padubidri by his motorcycle when the incident took place. The express bus rammed head-on into his bike. Avinash lost his life on the spot.

Meanwhile, another accident reportedly occurred on the same spot after a tipper lorry hit by a bus on its backside as tipper driver unexpectedly stooped his vehicle after he saw bike-bus collision.

A case has been registered in Padubidri police station.
