Bantwal: In a tragedy reported, a man was killed after a lorry collided into his bike at Kudrebettu near Kalladka on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Sudarshan Shetty (29). It is said that he was on his bike going towards Kalladka from Mani when a speeding oncoming ten-wheeler lorry loaded with tar barrels collided head-on into the bike.

Sudarshan was killed on the spot while the lorry toppled after hitting a tree. The driver who got stuck in the mangled remains was rescued by locals.

The Bantwal traffic police rushed to the spot and took control of the situation.
