Mangaluru : Godspeed Racing-Pune in association with Mangalore Motocross Sports Association organized the Fifth Round of the National Supercross Championship near Kulur here on November 23, Sunday.
State Minister for Youth Services and Fisheries Abhayachandra Jain, Health Minister UT Khader and City Police Commissioner R Hithendra jointly inaugurated the National Supercross Championship sponsored by MRF, TVS, Hero, and Servo.
After twelve years the 900 meter long dirt track, designed in three table-tops and 22 jumps. Brad Ripple from USA, a specialist has designed the track.
Prior the inauguration minister UT Khader rode a TVS RJR180 FX motorbike along the dirt track. Brad Ripple was also there and presented some hair raising bike stunts.
The event was conducted in seven categories, more than 120 professional and amateur riders from Chennai, Mumbai, Nashik, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Punjab, Coimbatore as well as Mangaluru and Udupi participated in the championship.
The final round is slated to be held in Bengaluru on November 29, 30.
