New Delhi: A motion on a bill has been brought in Rajya Sabha by Karnataka MP Rajiv Chandrashekhar, a businessman to prevent ill-usage of mobile phones from sending messages through multimedia for evil deeds.
Those who blackmail by taking pictures of lover couples in their love play, lonely living photos and clippings, should be punished heavily and a law is needed for the social purpose of privacy, he urged while bringing a private bill.
Over 23 bills were moved in Rajya Sabha under private rights this year.
Rajiv accused certain offenders of creating mental violence through misuse of internet and MMS for wrong purposes. H explained that private pictures are taken secretly on sex, and relayed through internet, to resort to blackmail and extortion of money in the end.
Socialist party MP Mahendra Mohan moved a supplementary bill and expressed his apprehensions about sexual harassment within families living together. He wanted dire punishment to sexual harassment perpetrators.
