Mangaluru: “Bio-metric machines for ration system have been installed at distribution centres to ease the problems of public. There are some problems in it and it will be brought to the notice of the government,” said Deputy Commissioner Dr K G Jagadeesh.
He was speaking in a meeting held with ration distribution centre’s leaders on Monday at Mangaluru Town Hall.
“To reduce the irregularities in ration distribution the government has implemented coupon system. Previously the coupons were distributed in GPs, later it was provided through mobile phones. As many people cannot access the phones the bio-metric machines has been installed at ration centres,” he said.
He further said that in this system also there is some problem with the server and this problem has been discussed with technicians and has been urged to provide quality server.
