Mangalore : Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza felicitated MLA J R Lobo at Bishop’s House on May 21, Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Lobo said his victory as the MLA of Mangalore South Constituency was only possible through the blessings of god showered in the form of people’s votes and support.

Bishop said that irrespective of caste, creed and religion MLA must work for the development of the district and welfare of the people

Later he also honoured political awareness committee convener M P Noronha, Co-convener Roy Castelino and members for their hard work during the campaign held to support MLA Lobo.

Advocate M P Noronha said that the all the attacks took place in Mangalore due to moral policing is considered to be the attacks on Indian constitution..

Parish Priest Fr Valerian rendered invocation and PRO Fr William Menezes was the MC.  Fr J B Crasta Secretary to the Laity commission welcomed the gathering.  Gerald D’Costa, secretary of Mangalore Diocese Pastoral Parishad Gerald D’Costa proposed the vote of thanks.

Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, and Chancellor of Mangalore Diocese Fr Henry Sequeira were present.
