Mangalore: Mangalore Bishop Rev. Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza was appreciative of the activities of the Catholic Sabha, an organization of Catholic Christians which has made its presence felt in various social, economical and educational activities.
He was speaking after inaugurating the annual convention of Catholic Sabha, Mangalore at the Milagres grounds in Mangalore on May 13, Sunday. The Bishop also emphasized the need for organizations to strive for the upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the community.
BV Pinto, High Court judge, Veronica Carnelio, women’s activist from Udupi, Antony Mendonca, a former KAS officer, Cyril Pinto, President of Mangalore Zone of Catholic Sabha and others were present on the occasion.
A holy mass arranged on the occasion was concelebrated by Fr JB Crasta.
