Bangalore: A meeting held on Friday morning under CM’s leadership the BJP office-bearers decided here to face the black-mailing tactics adopted by Congress oppositions to overthrow BJP rule in state, and in two stages, the party will conduct its protest from Saturday all over the state. The meeting also decided to give time upto May 25 to the Centre to clarify its stand on the demand of recalling Governor, made by state rulers. On Saturday, the protest demonstrations will take place in Raichur and Mysore to start with. Later the second stage will see the street fight against Governor in 9 districts, CM said.
In view of the state Governor’s continued menace of blowing hot and cold, it was not possible to work peacefully (in Vidhana Soudha). He has proved to be a spoke in the wheel of state progress. All the conspiracy surrounding me to finish off my rule stems from Raj Bhawan, Yeddyurappa complained.
It is the hidden purpose of Congress and JDS to come through backdoor onto power. So from Saturday onwards BJP moves onto see that under no circumstances the Centre accepts Governor’s clandestine suggestion to impose President’s rule on Karnataka, but on the other hand, it realizes the mischief of the Governor and recalls him. All over the state the Centre would be urged to remove Hans Raj in a furious fight for elected govt. by BJP. In the second stage of people’s agitation for Governor’s exit from state, nine districts- Mangalore (DK), Chitradurga and Bellary on 22nd, Koppala and Tumakur on May 23, Kolar and Gulbarga on May 24, and Bagalkot and Bidar on May 25-will be covered by agitation, CM indicated to pressmen.
The Central Govt must give a definite decision on the present Governor by May 25, he reiterated.
The public fight against Governor starts at the Gandhi statue on M.G Road, on Saturday morning. Ministers Renukacharya, Jagadish Shettar, Janardhana Reddy, Ravindranath, V Somanna BJP Chief Eshwarappa, MP Sadananda Gowda among others were with CM in the meet.
