Mangalore : BJP politician and Actress Tara who has taken the reins of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy from director TS Nagabharana visited District BJP office on March 17, Saturday.
Speaking at the press meet, Tara said that this is her second press meet after becoming the president of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.
Speaking on the BJP Udupi-Chickmagalur by-poll election candidate Sunil Kumar, she said that the name of BJP candidate in the twin district is spreading. The coastal district needs such kind of youth who can solve the problem of the party and people. The BJP government has good environment in this election. She also expressed hope that BJP candidate Sunil will win with lakhs of votes.
Appreciating the people of DK and Mangalore in particular, she said that the people of Mangalore have always supported her during her many film shootings in the past. The people of the city are blessed with the smile from nature. I really like the heartily smile from the people including our Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, she said.
I welcome every person to the BJP party, but they must assure themselves to work for the people and party in future, she added.
Speaking about the film, she said that organizing Children’s film fest is allowed but it will not get any subsidy from the government. We have organized a protest against the film in other languages in the state, but nothing has happen, further we will also try to release Kannada films in other states and try to run it for at least 6 weeks for promotion.
The state must not give subsidy for remake films but has to encourage Kannada novel based films, she informed.
BJP leaders like Pushpalatha Gatti, Asha Jagadish, Shiva Kumar Puttur, Rajgopal Rai and Deputy Mayor Amithakala were present.
