Mangalore: DKCC president and MLA Ramanath Rai said that including the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana, the central government has released the amount of Rs 200 crore for various schemes to DK for 2012 – 13.
He was speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on Nov 14, Wednesday. He also said that by hiding such an achievement, the BJP leaders are depicting the central government schemes as BJP contributions.
He also said that the central government has also implemented the National Rural Drinking Water Program (NRDWP) worth Rs. 21 crore, and the amount of Rs 51.37 crore for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rs. 11.24 crore for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme
Apart from it, central government under its 13th finance scheme sanctioned the amount of Rs. 16.22 crore to the Zilla Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat, and Gram Panchayats.
The leaders also garlanded the portrait of Former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to observe the 123rd birth anniversary.
