Mangalore : The district BJP carried out a rally led by candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel flagged off from Kudroli Temple on April 15, Tuesday.
The rally flagged off at Kudroli and moved through New Chitra Talkies, Car Street, GHS Road, Hampankatta, and concluded at the old bus stand, where they organized a public meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the people of country need a Congress-free India, hence it is necessary for them to cast their franchise to BJP make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of India.
He also said that there is Modi wave in every corner of the country. Modi is ruling the similar way as Vajpayee used to rule. Vajpayee is a great personality and Modi is also following in his footsteps.
He assured the voters to stop Yettinahole river diversion and Niddodi power projects, if BJP comes into power.
The Congress rule has changed the position of knowing from place of destination to the place of terrorism. BJP will make Mangalore a better place, he said.
District president of BJP Pratap Simha said that this is the last day of election campaigning and the last election for Congress candidate Janardhan Poojary, hence people of the district must try understand problem faced by them during the Congress rule and vote for BJP for better India.
Former MLA Yogish Bhat, Rukmayya Poojary, Former minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Srikar Prabhu, N B Abubakker, Rajesh Nayak, Monappa Bhandary, Sulochana Bhat, Rajgopal Rai, G K Prabhu, Nagaraj Shetty, and Sharan Pumpwell were present.
