Mangaluru : BJP Dakshina Kannada condemned the stone-pelting by Communists and anti-social elements on the bus carrying party representatives to padayatra at Payannur on Tuesday at Pallikare near kanhangad.
Speaking the press at BJP office on Tuesday, BJP district president Sanjeeva Matandoor said, “Amit Shah’s programmes in Mangaluru scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed. The new date is yet to be finalized.
“District BJP representatives showed much enthusiasm in welcoming Amit Shah at Mangaluru airport and the entire city was decorated to welcome the BJP president. But he has been asked to return to New Delhi immediately. Hence, the programmes have been postponed
Shah on receiving an emergency call from New Delhi will be returning to Delhi in a special flight as arranged for his departure he said.
Matandoor also announced that Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will arrive in Mangaluru on October 3 night and proceed to Kannur to take party in a rally on October 4.
