Mangalore : The Congress boycott of the Vivekananda Jayanthi programmes organized at the Ramakrishna Mutt in association with the District Administration, opposing the inaugural of the programme by RSS Leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, has sparked political conspiracy.

The BJP on January 11, Friday staged a protest in front of DC office and blamed the Congress for resorting to vote bank and divisive politics by boycotting the programme on the pretext that it was inaugurated by Kalladka Bhat.
Srikar Prabhu who spoke said the Congress was only interested in creating confusion through its acts.
Franklin Monteiro, BJP Minorities Cell leader the boycott of the programme by the Congress was an insult to the district.

Capt Ganesh Karnik also spoke on the occasion, said the Congress which has not protested against the killing of Indian soldiers by Pakistan and against the Delhi gang rape was now protesting over  the Vivekananda birth anniversary programme. He said the BJP would boycott the programme to be held by the Congress in connection with Vivekananda Jayanthi.
