Mangalore : The Mangalore South East unit of the Shakti Kendra of the BJP staged a protest near the KSRTC bus stand in the city on Thursday urging the government to reject what it termed as an ‘anti-national report’ submitted to the Union Home Ministry by the three member committee formed by the UPA government to find a solution to the Kashmir problem.
Speaking on the occasion Srikar Prabhu, South unit president of the BJP said Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and urged the government to cancel the special status accorded to the state.
The agitators alleged that the report of the three member panel was prejudiced. BJP leader Monappa Bhandari, Dr Naveen Prabhu, Shakeela Kava, Roopa Bangera, Srinivas, Sumana Sharan and others took part in the protest.
