The new reshuffle done by PM Singh has not brought satisfaction, much less joy, to opposition BJP in parliament.
The congress party was tom-toming since last 6 months about changes in the union cabinet, to provide mental peace to the common people suffering from inflation in food prices, to mend the credibility of UPA govt. scandals (as in CWG/2G spectrum/coal/oil etc..), and to assist poor or working classes from their hunger pangs by supplying cheap food grains, but the new cabinet and portfolios allocation have not been effective, BJP moaned.
There were not many young persons in the new UPA cabinet and out of 33 ministers surveyed, there were hardly 6 youths, while the average age was as high as 64.5 years, a senior citizen’s age and not a youth congress leader’s age
Nothing rosy could be expected of such an aged cabinet, with each one having his/her pet or hardened leanings, and covered by in active leadership, said BJP Jharkand unit spokesman Prem Mittal on Wednesday here in Ranchi.
By merely changing the partfolios of some senior ministers and filling up 7 or 8 vacant posts (dropping the inefficient ministers) with substitution other MPs in the party, congress has not achieved much, Mittal criticised, although there was a last opportunity before PM,prior to 2014 general elections.
Meanwhile, Moily who was shifted from the influential, Law ministry to a corrupt Corporate Affairs portfolio, where he has to handle TATAs and Ambamia, besides Niira Radias as company lobbyists as well, has changed his aggrieved times, and was singing in praise of PM Singh and UPA chief Sonia G, instead of squarely blaming fellow ministers for his singular debacle. He said he would work hard in the new post.
New union Law minister Salman Khursheed (former UPCC chief) will new pilot the Lokpal bill and the Hindu temples reformation bill that are facing fierce controversy in BJP circles.
