Mangalore : A common members meeting of BJP at the district level was held this morning at the AB Shetty Hall in Bunts’ Hostel in the city (July 10). Mangalore MP Nalinkumar on Kateel lighted a lamp to start the proceedings.
Speaking on the occasion, Kateel stated that BJP has emerged as the biggest national party in India. The Congress in opposition heaps many allegations on this other national party. It has no moral basis to impose meaningless allegations, when Congress itself is mainly responsible for dividing India and allowing cancerous growth of corruption in many ways all over the country. Except Lal Bahadur Sastri, every PM from Nehru down to Manmohan Singh have been swayed by corruption and business contributions. Congress appears to have forgotten this history. No Congress leader can survive without political power and corruption. Politics is taken up, not for service by Congressmen, but to stay in power.
The advent of corruption has heightened basically with mining ores in Karnataka and exporting the dust clandestinely to foreign countries like China. The Congress rule fathered mining business illegally, and looted crores of rupees. Neither Deshpande (KPCC) nor H.D. Deve Gowda (JDS) have any moral rights to speak against Lokayukta, corruption or mining in Bellary areas. CM Yeddyurappa has given a lot of financial assistance to coastal district in the last 2 years of his rule. He is the lone CM in India who demitted (waived) the huge agricultural leans of farmers. His party does not have faith in Goondaism and political mischief. BJP has seen growth by good principles and governors. It is organised and stabilized to carry state plans to the doors of the people who have elected them to rule. This is the duty of every BJP worker in the state, the city MP asserted.
Padmanabha Kottari DK BJP chairman who presided had praise for the CM who knew how to make progress in material life of the people and how to provide them basic facilities even at grassroots levels, with elaborate thinking. If Congress had brought the Bhagya Laxmi rural plan 25 years ago, the BPL families would have prospered by now. There is growth already in the field of Co-operative ventures. The nation is experiencing development over the years under BJP rule. The party will hold a review meeting once in 3 months with all members present, as per a decision taken, he added.
Organizing secretary Santosh, state Vice-President Sulochana Bhat, former DK BJP chief Pratap Singh Naik, and Sanjeeva were present on the dais. DK VP Umanath Kotian welcomed the members. General secretary Devdas Shetty conducted the proceedings and thanked the gatherings
