Udupi : Deputy Chief Minister KS Eshwarappa has expressed confidence that the state BJP government will complete its full term.
Speaking to reporters at Brahmavar on January 23, Wednesday, he said the rumours that the BJP government would fall are baseless. He chose not to comment regarding the statements made by the rebel BJP leaders.
The Deputy Chief Minister while referring to the demand made by MLA Haratal Halappa seeking his resignation, said Haratal Halappa might have referred to his name by mistake instead of the name of Yeddyurappa.
Eshwarappa also assured that a meeting would shortly be convened to elect a new State BJP President.
Several BJP leaders including Udupi Legislator Raghupathi Bhat, Udaykumar Shetty, Udupi District BJP President, G Shanker of G Shanker Family Trust, Former ZP Chief Bhujanga Shetty and Raghupathi Brahmavar were present.
The Deputy CM also offered special pooja at Om Shree Mahashakti Brahmakaara Swaroopini Aadi Maasthambika temple which is celebrating its annual festival.
