Mangalore: Sri Rama Sena Chief Pramod Muthalik has accused the BJP government in the state of playing with the religious sentiments of Hindus and resorting to vote bank politics in the Datta Peetha row.
Speaking to reporters in Mangalore on November 2, Friday, he said the BJP government which came to power in the name of Hindutva, has befooled the Hindus. He further said its Hindutva agenda will be of no help to it in the next elections.
Continuing, he said his organization will never allow Pakistan to play cricket with the Indian team in Bangalore. He also charged the Indian government of trying to appease the minority community by allowing Pakistan to play cricket in India.
Mutalik said over 10,000 people will take part in the Datta Peetha campaign all over the state and the valedictory will be held at Datta Peetha on November 25. He said the Sri Rama Sene will launch a severe agitation if disallowed to view Datta Paduka and offer pooja.
Sri Rama Sena District General Secretary Mahesh Koppa, Secretary Madhusudan, Kumar Malemar were also present at the press meet.
