Mangalore : Pratapsimha Nayak takes charge as the new BJP district president at a ceremony held at C V Nayak hall on August 31, Saturday.
Padmanabh Kottary, Outgoing BJP district president handed over the charge to Pratapsimha Nayak with party record book and shawl.
Speaking on the occasion, Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda, said that in spite of giving contribution to the state, state has got unexpected result. This was just an alarm bell for the party to end up the internal conflicts. This temporary defeat of the party will bounce on the Congress party permanently, he said.
He accessed Congress for not continuing the policies implemented by the BJP government even after 100 days in rule.
He called upon the BJP workers to work for the party and bring back BJP party and support Narendra Modi as the PM candidate and transform our country into a modern country.
Former BJP cabinet minister S Suresh Kumar said nation is looking for an efficient leader to rule the nation and it can be completed only by representation of Narendra Modi.
BJP Government had made the changes to 1964 Act for the protection of the cow, but the Congress cancelled the changes in the act, which resulted in cattle thefts.
Newly elected president Pratapsimha Nayak said that people are expecting the country to be transformed into a Gujarat Model and it is only possible under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
BJP has selected 8 new BJP presidents including Balakrishna V Shetty from Beltangady, K P Sucharith Shetty from Moodbidri, Ramesh S from Mangalore North, Ravishankar Mijar from Mangalore South, Chandrashekar Ucchil from Mangalore (Ullal), G Ananda from Bantwal, Apayya Maniyani from Puttur, Harish Kanjipili from Sullia.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLC Monappa Bhandary, MLA S Angara, Kota Srinivas Poojary, Former MLA N Yogish Bhat, Krishna J Palemar, Sulochana G K Bhat and others were present.
