Mysore: BJP state president K.S Eashwarappa today exuded confidence about his party candidates winning a majority of seats, thereby boosting the image of the party soon.
He added that the ZP / TP elections results would not act as a referendum to the party’s performance (in future). Yet, the outcome could give a befitting reply to the various land-scam allegations made against BJP by the opposition Congress and JD-S parties, he told reporters here.
KSE admitted that in 2005, BJP was nowhere in ZP and TP elections, but was gearing up on a massive scale to fight out for a victory in 2010. He was certain about BJP winning 22 ZPs and over a hundred TPs this time.
The party had won almost all the elections from 2008 and the people did not believe the allegations anymore about various land and other scams as made out by the opposition leaders against, BJP KS Eashwarappa stated in a confident note.
