Mangaluru:  “As the case is already registered under IPC Section 174, there is no provision to file another FIR as itself it is a FIR” said Ruling Party Chief Whip in Legislative Council, Ivan D’Souza over DySP Ganapathi suicide case.

Addressing the press personnel on Saturday at MCC office, he said that the state government has done everything what could have been done. The case has been handed over the CID, after CID submits its report, truth will come out. The BJP is misleading the people by holding protests and dharna.

“BJP and JDS are not letting the assembly sessions to carry out smoothly. They are wasting time in overnight dharna and protests. This move of the opposition is highly condemnable. I don’t know why they are demanding Georg’s resignation? George has done nothing wrong,” he said.

“Let the BJP leaders to submit one proof against minister K G George, to justify their protest. If they gave one proof, then the Congress will kick out George from his post, but till then we all support him,” he added.

He further said that BJP is trying to blackmail the government. They need to stop their childish and foolish behaviour. They must allow the session to move smoothly. So, that many good things can be discussed in the House. Give the government six months of time; the complete result of the case will be kept in front of the people. Based on the report, action will be taken against the accused.
