Mangalore: BJP seems to be after power and not good governance all the time.
It prepares for state elections one year earlier with a preliminary meeting at Bunts Hostel hall in city, on Saturday, February 4.
The upper House chairman, D.H. Shankaramurthy was with them, to highlight the contributions of BJP govt. in educational field. He revealed that he had approved of 184 Degree level colleges all over the state when he happened to be the Education ministor. Several graduates and qualified post-graduates got employed in them, he added with a satisfaction, as his Govt. had provided Rs.1.20 crores for each such college to buy computer and lab equipments required by those colleges.
Saying that BJP did phenomenal work during a short tenure to be the only party having a ‘moral right’ to seek votes in the ensuing elections.
He referred to a social, economic, and emotional transformation created by BJP in Karnataka.
MLC Ganesh Karnik spoke of “new engineering and 6 new medical colleges, approved by the Govt. He boasted about BJP achievement.
MLA Yogish Bhat, MP NalinKumar, Bhavan society’s Bhanu Prakash, Sulochana Bhat, Padmanabha Kottari, Udupi leader Uday Kumar Shetty and MLC Kota S.Poojary were present.
