Mangaluru: BJP activsts in Mangaluru and Udupi celebrated the victory of BJP in the elections held for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkhand state legislative assembly elections.
The members of the party cheered the victory with bursting of crackers and distribution of sweets in front of the office near PVS circle.
A cutout of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was placed in premises, party workers even gestured as if feeding the idol with sweets.
Former MLA Yogish Bhat said “the people of Uttar Pradesh have shown their trust with Narendra Modi led union government supporting its policies including demonetisation in the elections held for Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly. The people have also rejected the parties including SP, Congress, BSP and others showing their inclination towards BJP. The victory definitely support the to win the state assembly elections to be held in Karnataka next year.”
