Mangalore : The BJP’s bundh is Government sponsored bundh. The BJP has no right to misuse the governmental powers, said Congress Leader Ivan D’Souza.
Speaking at the press meet held at Congress Office on Jan 22, Saturday said that the BJP activists along with police officials are forcefully closing the shops. The sudden decision of BJP to hold the protest is to hide the matter of BJP minister’s corruption matter.
He also said that, the governor’s order to prosecute Chief Minister is the right direction. After examining the case, according to section 187 of CRPC act, Governor gave the permission to file the case against the CM.
The BJP is involved in the corruption right from the beginning and it is proved. The CM should have given the resignation when he was found guilty, but he did not do that, but today the congress leaders against demand his resignation.
He informed that, the police officials are involved in today’s bundh in Mangalore, they are forcing the shops to close forcefully and it is witnessed in several places like near Pumpwell, Urwa Market, PVS and Jyoti Circle.
I will inform the Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh about the matter and request him to take necessary action against those police officials. He also said that he has people to give the statement on this and even he was sent back near Jyothi Circle.
Criticizing the visit of Anwar Manippady, chairman of the state minority commission, is going all over the city asking the people to support for the bundh. The schools and colleges were declared bundh yesterday night itself. He asked on what observation the government declared holiday.
The law and order of the state is collapsed. They have spoiled the reputation of the government and state in nation-wide. The BJP has informed the people that Governor came to destroy the government. The BJP has formed to establish corruptors party which can be said as ‘Brastachara Janatha Party’. The sudden bund has feared the people.
He said that, he must resign and also face the prosecution, he added.
Congress leaders like MG Hegde, Shashidhar Hegde, Sadashiva Ullal, Ashok DK, Praveenchandra, TK Sudhir and others were present.
