Udupi : The Udupi unit of the BJP has planned to hold an NH 66 bundh agitation on September 15 if the demand for a flyover at Karavali junction and Brahmavar were not agreed by the authorities.

Speaking to media on September 4, Wednesday, Udupi former MLA Raghupathi Bhat said  the demand has been neglected by Highway Minister Oscar Fernandes as well as Udupi MP Jayaprakash Hegde. He said the underpass proposed at the two places are of little help and fly over was the need of the hour.

He also alleged that Oscar Fernandes had failed to  help his constituency.

Vilas Nayak, Yuva Morcha leader said   there would be a bike rally on September 7 to urge  the authorities to take up the highway works on a fast basis.
