Udupi: With countdown begun for Udupi-Chikkamagalur MP by-polls due on March 18 here, BJP state unit Chief K.S. Eshwarappa inaugurated the movement for a victory campaign here for his party, on Monday.
Talking to newsmen, he observed that all 1500 booths and door to door Campaign Work has begun, with the candidate going everywhere from Sunday last.
KSE went round a hundred housed seeking votes for BJP. Kanara MP Ananth Hegde, Udupi unit chief Uday K. Shetty, Secretary Shyamala Kunder among many others, were present during walks to voters’ residences. BJP has accepted the by-poll as a new challenge, without yeddy among the activists.
KSE dined at a farmar’s house in Chittadi on Sunday.
The by-poll outcome is taken to be a pointer to state elections in 2013, and general elections due in 2014.

The Campaign has been conducted covering 90% booths in 1510voting stations, said general Secretary TV Hegde in a statement today.
All MLA s in both districts, office- bearers, state leaders, and prominent activists were bending their backs and begging voters, while KSE went round Udupi, and UK-MP Anant H., Kaup area in all meets, to garner votes, TV Hegde said.
