Mangalore : The District Bharathiya Janatha Party and the activists organized a programme to congratulate MLA N Yogesh Bhat, the newly elected Deputy Speaker at District BJP office on Jan 14, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumble Sundar Rao, president of Karanataka Yakshagana Academy, said that people of Dakshina Kannada have mutual understanding and good feeling towards each other through the BJP party.
He also said that, Yogesh Bhat has never taken any tension to get political set and he was succeeded all the four time by becoming the MLA. At present too after getting the high position, he still remains the same and he has the capacity to solve any problem through his verbal talent.
MLA has done very good developmental work in the city and the work which remained incomplete will also be completed in the coming days.
Sulochana G K Bhat, Bal Bhavan Chairperson said that he is the single person who is wished by all people in the Dakshina Kannada for electing as the Deputy Speaker even by congress MLA’s. He is capable of taking any responsibility of any post conferred on him.
After receiving the honour, MLA and Deputy Speaker N Yogesh Bhat said that, any small responsibility taken must be given back as excellent result.
He also said that, the dream of making Mangalore a number one position in the RSS membership is also fulfilled. If the deputy speaker election was done at present, then it would not have happened at all.
I am aware of MLA’s and Deputy Speakers responsibility and I will fulfill it. The state government has assured to help me to complete the developmental works in Dakshina Kannada district.
Speaking on the matter of Moolgeni, he said that, this was not prepared in the agenda and requested the speaker to discuss on the matter and special agenda was prepared to pass it.
He assured the gathering to make Dakshina Kannada and Udupi as the model district in two years time and said that District in charge minster Krishna J Palemar and BJP President Padmanabha Kottary and other supporters are rendering their support to fulfill his dream.
He said that as the deputy speaker he has much restriction but it does not interfere in his developmental works.
Puttur MLA Mallika Prasad and Monappa Bhandary, former BJP president also spoke on the occasion.
District in charge minister Krishna J Palemar, Mayor Rajani Dugganna, BJP president Padmanabha Kottary, Nithin Kumar and others were present on the dias.
MLA Yogesh Bhat was escorted from the Mangalore Airport accompanied with the huge procession. Large number of supporter gathered at the office congratulated him with the garlands and shawl.
