Mangalore : DK constituency BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel won the election with the majority of 641254 votes, while Udupi-Chickmagalur constituency BJP candidate Shobha Karandlaje gains victory with 497400 votes.

The election counting was held at Mahatma Gandhi Centenary Composite Pre-University College at Bondel, which commenced at 8 am and concluded at 11 am.

As a part of counting, the prohibitory orders in city were clamped counting in Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.
