Mangalore : Pratap Sinha Nayak, District BJP in-charge has said that the BJP will be holding a Jail Bharo agitation on May 27 to create an awareness on the widespread corruption at the central government level, rise in prices of essential commodities and other issues.
Speaking to reporters here on May 17, Friday, he said a team of BJP leaders will be visiting Mangalore on May 21 to hold a district level meeting of the party to discuss the issues that led to the failure of the BJP in the recent Assembly elections.
He said the team includes Suresh Kumar, Sunil Kumar and Kota Srinivas Poojari.
He said the state BJP leadership has formed different teams which will visit each district to hold such meetings.
Nayak lashed out at the state government for hinting t its plans to revoke the proposed Anti-Cow Slaughter Bill planned to be implemented by the erstwhile BJP government.
Several BJP leaders including Monappa Bhandari, MLC, Pushpalatha Gatti, Nitin Kumar, ex-chairman of Fisheries Development Corporation were present.
