Mangalore : Monappa Bhandari, MLC and District BJP spokesperson has said that party was happy over the state cabinet decision to give the rights of Kumki land to the farmers in DK and Udupi districts.
Speaking to reporters at district BJP office, he said the decision would benefit around 4 lakh families in the two districts.

Bhandari also took strong exception to the recent remarks of  Union Home Minister Susheel Kumar Shindhe on the BJP and RSS and demanded that the minister withdrew his statement.  He also warned of protest from the BJP otherwise.

Padmanabha Kottari, District President, BJP, was also present at the press meet.
